Halal foods from living beings.
Halal foods obtained by animals, such as milk, eggs, and honey, are pure and halal by their origin. But the meat obtained from these pure animals is not pure and halal unless the animal is slaughtered in accordance with the Shariah's rules set by Allah Almighty. If these rules are not followed during slaughter, the meat of even these sacred animals and birds becomes impure and forbidden (haram).
Allah says: Eat of the pure and wholesome things that on the earth has produced. And be grateful to Allah. And do not follow in the footsteps of Satan by eating unclean or filthy things. Indeed, he is to you a true enemy.

O people! Eat of what is on earth, lawful and good, and do not follow the footsteps of Satan; he is to you a clear enemy.
The method of slaughtering.
Indeed, God has provided many nutritional benefits for humans in living creatures. However, it has been enjoined upon believers that: Only those clean animals and birds may be eaten that have been slaughtered with the name of Allah. Bismillah, Allahu Akbar.
The method of slaughtering animals in Islam is not just a ritual or ceremony, but a wise, healthy and socially beneficial practice. It is a gift of the Sharia that contains deep secrets for the preservation of human health, social balance and moral values.
Islamic method of slaughter: "The throat, esophagus, and aorta are cut while saying, 'Bismillah, Allahu Akbar.' This process removes most of the blood from the animal's body. Blood contains urea, bacteria, and other toxic substances that can spoil the meat. Modern science has proven that meat obtained in this way is safer for health and more flavorful.
Reciting "Bismillah, Allahu Akbar" while slaughtering is a sign that the act is being performed by the command of Allah, and not out of a spirit of bloodshed or cruelty.
Ritual slaughter is not required for marine animals;rather, they become lawful simply by being caught or dying. In other words, they are lawful in their natural state, just like milk, eggs, and honey. Allah Almighty has described marine creatures not merely as living beings, but as "fresh meat". hunting on land, hunting and eating game from the sea while in the state of 'Ihram' is permissible. This further demonstrates that there is no need to slaughter marine game—that is, to drain its blood.
So, eat of that over which the name of Allah has been pronounced, if you believe in His verses.
Q-16:14And He is the One who has subjected the sea, so that you may eat fresh meat from it and extract from it the ornaments that you wear.

Q-05:96Lawful for you is the game of the sea and its food as provision for you and for travelers; but forbidden to you is the game of the land as long as you remain in the state of ihram.
Pure and wholesome livestock, birds, and aquatic animals.
Livestock: According to the principle of pure and wholesome food, all herbivorous (vegetarian) animals are halal. That is, animals that eat grass, straw are pure and halal.
Birds: According to the principle of pure and wholesome food, birds that eat plant seeds, fruits, and grains, and birds that pick small insects and termites from the ground like grains, are permissible, provided they are not predators.
Marine or aquatic: Although marine animals are carnivores, fish or animals that do not cut their prey into pieces but swallow it whole are generally halal.
(O Prophet) Say: In what has been revealed to me, I do not find anything forbidden for one who wishes to eat—except that it be carrion, spilled blood, the flesh of swine—for it is impure—or an animal slaughtered in the name of other than Allah.
1. Domestic livestock is halal.
Among domesticated animals, camels, cows, buffaloes, sheep, goats, rabbits, and horses—as well as donkeys or mules not used for hauling filth or refuse—are generally considered halal.
As for birds, pigeons, partridges, quails, chickens, ducks, and similar birds are Halal, provided they are not birds of prey. Although some of these birds may consume small insects—such as ants and termites—they are still considered *halal* because they are not predatory by nature; their beaks and claws are not suited for pouncing on or tearing apart prey, and they do not generally feed on filth or carrion.
Livestock (Cattle) are lawful for you, except that which is recited to you (i.e., that which is forbidden).
Q-06:142And of the cattle those carrying loads (camel, cow, bufailo & horse etc) and some that are spread out on the earth (sheep, goats, chickens, ducks etc.). So, eat of what Allah has provided for you, and do not follow the footsteps of Satan. Indeed, he is to you a clear enemy.
Q-02:57And We cast the shade of clouds over you and sent down 'Manna' and 'Salwa' (quail) upon you: "Eat of the wholesome things We have bestowed upon you."
2. Forest's hunting is lawful.
Apart from predatory and carnivorous animals and scavengers, hunting of all other animals, especially those that eat plants, is permissible in principle. However, the condition for this is that the hunted animal must be slaughtered according to the Shariah method before it dies; because if it dies before slaughter, it is considered dead, and dead animals are not halal.
Similarly, if a pure animal is injured by a wild animal, but is slaughtered in the name of Allah before it dies, it becomes lawful. However, hunting on land is prohibited during the state of Ihram.
Cattle have been made permissible for you, except those which have been mentioned to you. But do not consider hunting lawful while you are in the state of Ihram. Indeed, Allah commands what He wills.
Q-05:03And forbidden is that which wild beasts have eaten, except that which you have slaughtered. Indeed, Allah is Forgiving and Merciful.
Q-05:96And it is forbidden for you to hunt on the land while you are in the state of Ihram.
3. Hunting of wild birds is lawful.
It is also permissible to hunt pure birds whose meat is lawful (Halal) to eat, provided that the bird is slaughtered according to the prescribed Shariah method before it dies.
If a hunted bird dies before it is slaughtered, it is considered dead, and a dead bird is not halal. Similarly, if a hunter animal or bird injures a halal bird and then it is slaughtered in the name of Allah before it dies, it becomes halal.
Basic ruling: Allah Almighty has made all clean animals, whether cattle or birds, lawful; however, He also made it clear that due to the disobedience of the Children of Israel, some clean things were forbidden to them. This included some claws animals & birds. However, Allah Almighty has made those clean things lawful again for the Ummah of Muhammad by His grace.
(O Prophet) Say: In what has been revealed to me, I do not find anything forbidden for one who wishes to eat—except that it be carrion, spilled blood, the flesh of swine—for it is impure—or an animal slaughtered in the name of other than Allah.

Q-02:57And We cast the shade of clouds over you and sent down 'Manna' and 'Salwa' (quail) upon you: "Eat of the wholesome things We have bestowed upon you."
Q-04:160Because of the wrongdoing of these Jews, we forbade them many pure things that had previously been lawful for them, because they prevented many people from the path of Allah.
Q-06:146And We had forbidden to the Jews all claws’ animals or birds.
4. Hunting of the sea is lawful.
Pure varieties of sea fish are Halal, whereas poisonous fish and those classified as predatory—such as sharks and crocodiles—are Haram.
Scholars hold differing opinions regarding aquatic animals other than fish—such as shrimp, crabs, and turtles—that inhabit the sea or water. In the Quran, Allah the Almighty states:
"Hunting in the sea and eating its catch have been made lawful for you, so that you may eat fresh meat from it."
Allah does not explicitly state that you must eat fish while refraining from crab, shrimp, turtle, and the like. Rather, Allah says: "O people! Eat of what is pure and wholesome upon the earth." Therefore, if your heart bears witness that crab, shrimp, turtle, and the like are pure, then eat them; otherwise, do not.
And He is the One who has subjected the sea, so that you may eat fresh meat from it and extract from it the ornaments that you wear.
Q-05:96Lawful for you is the game of the sea and its food as provision for you and for travelers; but forbidden to you is the game of the land as long as you remain in the state of ihram.
Q-02:172O you who believe! Eat of the wholesome things We have provided for you and give thanks to Allah, if it is indeed Him whom you worship.
5. Hunting with trained animals.
Humans domesticate and train certain predatory animals—such as dogs, hawks, and falcons—provided they are trained in accordance with Divine Law (Sharia). For example...
They seize the prey at the owner’s command, not merely to satisfy their own hunger.
They do not tear the prey apart or kill it outright.
The prey is slaughtered before it dies, while pronouncing the name of Allah: “Bismillah, Allahu Akbar.”
If the prey is aquatic and dies, it is also halal.
With these conditions fulfilled, the game brought by trained animals is Halal (Lawful).
They ask you what is lawful for them? Say, "Lawful to you are the good things and that which your trained hunting animals bring, which you have trained as Allah has trained you." So, eat of what they catch for you and (At the time of slaughter) mention the name of Allah over it and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is swift in taking account.
Finding fault with lawful food.
God says that any animal over which His name has been pronounced at the time of slaughter is lawful, whether it is a large beast of burden or a small animal close to the ground. Therefore, do not find fault with what God has made lawful through His grace. Because ingratitude to God is the path of Devil.
It is often observed that some arrogant people look down with contempt upon meat that is available at a lower price. May God protect all believers from belittling lawful provision. Ameen.
And what is the matter with you that you do not eat of that over which the name of Allah has been mentioned, while He has made clear to you that He has forbidden you, except that you are forced to do so. And indeed, many people mislead (people) without knowledge, following their own desires. Your Lord knows best the transgressors.
